• Contact information, such as your name and email address.
• Mailing or billing information when needed for a purchase, event, or other transaction.

• Newsletter preferences and records of your consent or unsubscribe choices.
• Reviews, testimonials, stories, comments, photographs, audio, video, or other materials that you voluntarily
submit.
• Transaction information relating to products, programs, events, memberships, or services. Payment-card
information is generally collected directly by the applicable payment processor rather than stored by us.
• Any other information you choose to provide.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, detailed medical records,
financial-account credentials, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary website forms or email unless we specifically request it through an appropriate process.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use our websites or emails, we or our service providers may automatically collect limited technical
information, such as:
• Internet Protocol address, general location derived from the address, browser type, device type, operating
system, and language settings.
• Pages viewed, links clicked, referral source, date and time of access, and similar usage information.
• Cookie identifiers and information about whether an email was delivered, opened, or clicked, when those
features are enabled.
3.3 Information from Other Sources
We may receive information from service providers and third parties that support our operations, such as
website-hosting and email platforms, form providers, analytics providers, payment processors, retailers,
distributors, event platforms, and social-media services. We use such information only for the purposes described in this Policy or as otherwise disclosed when it is collected.
4. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
• Provide websites, Gifts, publications, products, programs, services, and requested information.
• Deliver newsletters, launch announcements, educational content, event information, and other
communications you have requested or consented to receive.
• Respond to questions, comments, privacy requests, and customer-service needs.
• Process and administer purchases, registrations, memberships, programs, events, or other transactions.
• Maintain, improve, personalize, and understand the use of our websites, content, and offerings.
• Protect the security and integrity of our systems; detect fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity; and enforce our
agreements.
• Maintain records, comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, and protect the rights and
safety of ALA, our users, and others.
• Use reviews, testimonials, stories, photographs, or other submitted materials only as authorized by the
individual and any applicable release or permission.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for page functionality, form delivery,
security, and user preferences. If enabled, we may also use analytics or measurement tools to understand site
traffic, content performance, and email engagement. Embedded content, such as a YouTube video, may allow
the third-party provider to set cookies or collect information under its own privacy policy.
You may be able to manage cookies through your browser settings or a website consent tool, if one is provided.
Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality. Before enabling targeted advertising, retargeting
pixels, or materially different tracking, we will update this Policy and provide any choices required by applicable
law.
6. Email Communications
When you request a Gift, join a mailing list, register for an offering, or otherwise agree to receive communications, we may send requested materials and related messages. Marketing emails will include an unsubscribe method. You may also request removal by contacting us. We may continue to send non-marketing messages that are necessary to complete a transaction, respond to you, provide a requested service, or address legal or security matters.
7. Purchases and Payment Processing
Books and other products may be sold by third-party retailers or distributors, including online marketplaces and
publishing-distribution services. Those companies independently collect and process information under their own policies. When we offer direct purchases, a third-party payment processor may collect payment information on our behalf. We generally receive transaction confirmation and limited purchase details rather than full payment card information.
8. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
• Service providers and contractors. We may share information with vendors that provide hosting, forms, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, customer support, document storage, security, event administration, professional advice, and related operational services.
• At your direction or with your consent. We may disclose information when you ask us to do so or expressly
authorize a particular use, such as publication of a testimonial or photograph.
• Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or
legal process; respond to lawful government requests; investigate misconduct; protect rights, property, or
safety; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
• Business or organizational changes. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, restructuring,
financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context
behavioral advertising. If our practices materially change, we will revise this Policy and provide legally required
notices or choices before the new practice begins.
9. Submitted Stories, Testimonials, and Media
A private message, inquiry, or personal story sent through a contact form or email is not automatically permission for public use. We will seek appropriate permission before publicly identifying you in connection with a testimonial, story, photograph, recording, interview, or similar submission. Separate written releases may be required for substantial, sensitive, or commercial uses.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy,
including providing requested communications or services, maintaining transaction and consent records, meeting legal and accounting obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason it was collected. We may retain limited records of unsubscribe requests so that we can honor them.
11. Information Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature and volume of
information we maintain. We also rely on third-party platforms and service providers to operate parts of our
online services. No method of transmission, storage, or security is completely guaranteed, and we cannot
promise that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost, or destroyed.
12. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may:
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails through the link in the message or by contacting us.
• Ask to access, correct, update, or delete personal information we maintain about you, subject to applicable
law and lawful exceptions.
• Withdraw consent for future processing when our processing is based on consent, without affecting
processing that occurred before withdrawal.
• Manage certain cookies through browser controls or an available consent tool.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including rights to obtain a
copy of certain information, restrict or object to processing, appeal a decision, or lodge a complaint with a data
protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may be
required to provide proof of authority.
To submit a privacy request, email love@soulechoway.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or write to
the address listed in Section 18.
13. Virginia and Other U.S. State Privacy Laws
Certain comprehensive state privacy laws apply only when a business meets specified thresholds or engages in
specified data practices. Even when a particular law does not apply, we intend to collect only information
reasonably related to our disclosed purposes and to respond in good faith to reasonable privacy requests.
Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
14. International Visitors
ALA is based in the United States. If you access our websites from another country, your information may be
processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those
locations may differ from the laws where you live.
Because we distribute the Soul Echo Way publications globally, your personal data may be stored or processed
in the United States. To safely protect your data when it leaves the United Kingdom or European Union, we rely
on the official Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and the UK
Information Commissioner's Office.
15. Children’s Privacy
Our current websites and online offerings are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We
do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. A parent or legal guardian
should contact us if they believe a child has submitted personal information, and we will take reasonable steps to
delete it. Before launching an online service directed to children or knowingly collecting information from children, we will adopt additional notices, consent procedures, and safeguards as required by law.
16. Third-Party Websites and Embedded Services
Our websites may link to or embed services operated by others, such as systeme.io, Google services, YouTube,
social-media platforms, Amazon, IngramSpark, payment processors, or event providers. We do not control their
privacy, security, or content practices. Please review the policies of each third party before providing information.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Policy as our websites, offerings, technology, service providers, or legal obligations change.
The “Last Updated” date will identify the current version. When appropriate, we may provide additional notice of
a material change. Continued use after the effective date of a revised Policy means the revised Policy applies to
information collected thereafter, except where additional consent is required by law.
